FUNDRAISER FOR ALICE
Alice was found in the Digby Neck, emaciated, unaltered, and with terrible mouth issues. We have reason to believe that she was dumped outdoors before her former family moved away in July, and that she is about 5-6 years old.
She was recently examined and tested (she’s free of FeLV and FIV!) and ALL of her remaining teeth will need to be extracted. Since bacteria from the mouth can spread to the spay incision, she will need two separate surgeries two weeks apart for the spay and then dental extractions.
The total cost will exceed $850.00 not including high quality cat food and other treatments we are purchasing to help build her strength back up. After she fully recovers from her ordeal, we will find her a loving, furever home.
WE NEED YOUR HELP with costs! We are asking for donations of any amount. No amount is too small. For all donations of $10.00 or more, official donation receipts will be issued in January.
Donations would be very much appreciated and may be made by eTransfer or PayPal to donations@friendsofferals.ca, or by cash or cheque to Society for the Friends of Ferals, PO Box 1527, Digby, NS B0V 1A0
Need catnip toys or other goodies for your cat, dog or home? Another way you can help is to make a purchase from our online fundraising store: Friends of Ferals Online Store
Was just curious…hadn’t heard anything of Alice lately. Wondered if she found a loving home through her visit at the arena for the fundraiser?
Sorry…just saw the posting. I am so happy that Digby (Alice) has found love! I think of her often. 🙂
Yes, Alice is now in a wonderful home with another cat and two dogs! Her new mom and dad have named her Digby 🙂
We absolutely adore her💕💕 she is such a special cat full of so much love. She sleeps curled up beside my head every night and gives me a tiny little coo if I move ❤️
